If you are looking for an original piece of Art
as unique as your photos themselves, Photo Tile Art is the
place to be. This is not a computer generated photo transfer
like you get on a coffee mug at the mall. It is a handcrafted,
individually designed, one of a kind piece of Art. And it is
Art made with your memories.
~How does this work?
Easy. You choose your Artwork, add it to your shopping cart
and proceed to checkout. When you finalize the purchase,
you’ll be instructed how to send your photos (e-mail or snail
mail). You send the photos to me, I do all the work and send
your finished Artwork to you, along with any hard copy images
you supplied. You open the carefully packed box and ooooh and
aaaaah over your memories captured in a unique piece of Art.
~What kind of photos can be used?
Any photo is fine, but the photos that work best are closer
rather than far away, but not cropped to close to the subject.
The better quality photo you supply, the better quality the
finished piece of Artwork.
~Can you change color photos to black and white if I want?
Yes! I can adjust the saturation of color or take the color
out all together, no problem. Just be sure to contact me with
special requests at Vickie@PhotoTileArt.com, at the time you
make your purchase.
~Can you use slides or negatives?
Yes! Not a problem.
~Can I send photos through e-mail?
Yes! You can send photos via e-mail or snail mail (aka, United
States Postal Service).
If sending via the internet, a high-resolution
scanned or digital image is preferred. Remember, high quality
originals are needed to make high quality image transfers.
If you supply hard copies, your photos will be
returned to you unharmed, with the finished Artwork. Although
I have never had a shipment of photos lost in the mail, I
would still advise you to send reprints rather than original
photos, carefully pack them with “Do not Bend” instructions
and insure the items you mail. Photo Tile Art will handle your
images with the greatest of care, but can’t be held
responsible for any problems with your photos relative to the
U.S. Postal Service.
~How long will it take to get my completed Artwork?
Typically, your Artwork will be shipped within 3 weeks of the
time you order it. However, some pieces take longer simply
because I am at the mercy of the artistic process. For
example, if you order ‘coaster style’ tiles, they will take 3
weeks, due to the drying time of the sealer. I will always
communicate any delays to the customer in a timely manner.
~How will my Artwork be shipped?
I send all pieces via
United States Postal Service, Priority. If going outside the
United States, 7-10 day Airmail is preferred.
