necessary, your order will take priority over a consumer
order, even when your order was placed after the consumer’s
request
~Notice of turn-around
times – Know how long it will take to get your completed
pieces before you order.
Note; the turn-around times designate from the time your order
is placed, until it is shipped. You will likely receive your
order before this time, but I will always list realistic times
to be expected. I would rather you be pleasantly surprised,
than unfortunately disappointed.
~Use of images from the
Photo Tile Art website to use for your own promotional
purposes
~Priority Shipping-all
orders are shipped Priority USPS to arrive safely and quickly.
~Custom Requests – I am

Photographs for transfer to tumbled marble tile
For digital images, please
email me high resolution images. I have a cable modem, so big
files don’t scare me.
For hard copy photos, you
can either email me high resolution scans or send me hard
copies via snail mail (USPS). Any hard copies will be
returned unharmed, with your completed order.
Some things
to consider when selecting photos
~The photos
will be transferred onto 4x4 inch tiles. This means that
all images should be cropped square. While I'm
accustomed to doing the cropping myself for my consumer
clients, I do request that Professional Photographers do the
cropping on your end. My consumer clients don't often notice
the difference, but as a professional I know that creating the
image is what you do best and I wouldn't want to do anything
to mess with the integrity of your images.
~Try not to crop to
closely to the subject, I need a little room to work with when
transferring
~Photos with a lighter
background lend themselves more naturally to the stone than
those with a dark background, but of course I am happy to use
any photos you would like
~Black and white photos or
color photos that are desaturated by 50% lend themselves more
naturally to the stone and carry a more ethereal quality than
darker backgrounds. Again, I am happy to use any image you
select
~Most importantly,
the image needs to be cropped square
As one Artist to another,
on occasion I may make editing suggestions that would enhance
the appearance of your images when transferred to the tile.
As a professional photographic Artist, I realize that you will
be intrusting me with images that you have created. As such,
I will never make changes to your images that are not fully
discussed and agreed upon before I start any work on your
tiles or books.
The care
and well-being of your photo tile Art
Unless otherwise stated or requested, hanging
tiles will be attached to each other with a neutral tone,
organza ribbon. Although sheer in appearance, this ribbon
holds up and has been selected because it is unobtrusive and
keeps the focus on the photos and the tiles. The top tile on
a hanging set will include a saw tooth hanger.
When you receive your
shipment of tiles, please unpack them carefully. Do
NOT use scissors, exacto or any other sharp object to open
the protective packaging around your tiles. This could result
in cut ribbon or damaged images. I personally pack each and
every tile, take it to the post and have it marked ‘FRAGILE’
myself. Please let me know immediately of any problems so
that I can address it promptly
Final Note:
This program was designed at the
requests of Professional Photographers across the country. I
tried to incorporate the many ideas you had in mind. But I
think flexibility is the most important aspect of this
program. If you don’t see the answer to your question just
ask me, you probably aren’t the only one wondering. As your
needs as a professional change, so will the design of the
program to best accommodate your requirements. And if you
